Beds are fitted with Egyptian cotton linen, electric blankets, and can be made up into two Single or one King-size bed. All beds are extra length for comfort.

Kitchenette, with granite counter tops fitted with a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, twin burner gas hob, crockery, and cutlery. pot and pan, and TV with selected DSTV channels including sports channels. Units are fully serviced daily.

Private Patio

The property features a private patio, outdoor dining area with built-in under cover braai, and outdoor furniture. Two of the units, Acorn Cottage and Darragh Cottage also (boost) boast a fire pit for those summer evenings

“Big Oak Cottages is a gorgeous homely self catering accommodation right in town. Less than a 5 minute walk and you are on the main road. Centrally located. Cottages are equipped with everything you could need. Just bring you own food and wine. The best part, was that every afternoon the fire in our room had been lit, and we came back to a lovely cozy room. There was plenty of wood to keep it going all night. The shower is HUGE you could fit a rugby team in there. Beautiful big bathroom. There is back up water and power which is fantastic. Dstv, braai, microwave, bar fridge, gas stove, safe parking, inter leading rooms. Big Oak is usually fully booked so book in advance. You won’t regret it.”

“Amazing place! The cottages are very private and very well equipped. We stayed at Darragh cottage and ours had a boma, outside braai and the most beautiful inside fireplace. Perfect for Dullstroom since it was 15 degrees the whole weekend. Extra points for the beautiful bathroom with a shower the size of a stoep and amazing deep romantic bath tub. The whole place is also set up that you never see anybody with a code at the gate and a keypad door lock. They even had a turndown service in the mornings and we came back to a sparkling room after visiting Dullstroom town. Big points to the owners. This is one very special place that will DEFINITELY see us again.“
